Cognitive, Behavioral and Emotional Therapy (CBT): understanding and transforming thoughts, emotions and behaviors
Cognitive, Behavioral and Emotional Therapy (CBET) is a therapeutic approach that aims to help individuals identify, understand and modify the patterns of thought, emotion and behavior that influence their well-being.
Based on the principle that our thoughts influence our emotions, and that these in turn impact our behavior, TCCE offers concrete tools for breaking vicious circles and promoting positive change.
TCCE is based on decades of research in psychology and psychiatry:
1950s: Psychiatrist Aaron Beck develops cognitive therapy, based on the idea that our automatic thoughts can generate negative emotions and maladaptive behavior.
The 1960s: Albert Ellis's Rational-Emotive Therapy highlighted the impact of irrational beliefs on psychological malaise.
1980s-1990s: Behavioral and cognitive therapies combine to form CBT, to which the emotional dimension is added in more recent approaches, such as TCCE.
Today: TCCE is one of the most scientifically validated approaches for treating a variety of disorders: anxiety, depression, phobias, stress management, eating disorders, and much more.
CITT offers a structured, collaborative approach, with precise objectives:
Understand how certain thoughts, emotions or behaviors can lead to unhappiness.
Use concrete tools to transform these patterns into more positive, adapted alternatives.
Acquire skills to better manage everyday challenges and prevent relapses.
Helping individuals to take charge of their own well-being through a better understanding of themselves.
CITT is for anyone who wants to improve their well-being or better manage certain difficulties:
Currently in training, I'm gradually integrating the TCCE tools into my practice to offer even more comprehensive and tailored support. Here's how I apply this approach:
A sympathetic ear: Understanding your challenges without judgment, while respecting your pace.
Practical tools: practical exercises, relaxation and mindfulness techniques, and tools for exploring your thoughts and emotions.
Collaborative support: we work together to define your objectives and build the most appropriate solutions.
Today, art therapy is widely developed and practiced in many contexts: mental health, personal development, palliative care, trauma management and much more.
CITT is recognized for its effectiveness and ability to deliver lasting results. It's an active, participatory therapy that gives you the keys to better understanding and acting on your inner patterns.
Combining my art therapy practice, teaching experience and CITT training, I offer an integrative approach to best meet your specific needs.
